While some of the provisions of the new Directive are already set out in UK law, or strengthen existing legislation on animal testing, others potentially weaken UK regulations.
Prior to transposing the EU Directive into UK law, the Home Office has launched a consultation on the options for transposing the new regulations. The consultation runs until 5th September 2011. More to follow soon.
