15 Feb 2005 -
Naturewatch have been running a competition in conjunction with
the University of Gloucestershire to produce a new design for the Clearly
Compassionate products. We were very impressed by the very high quality
of the designs produced by the students, and it was difficult to
choose a shortlist. However, one entry did stand out, which is the
winning entry by Alex Gillot.
He received his award today, at a ceremony in the Art and Design Department
at the University, from Cheltenham's MP Nigel Jones, along with
runners-up Tom Stockley, Andrew Doane and Nerys Douch.
Alex, who is a second-year student, was a roofer in Sheffield before
he decided to train for a design course. His eye-catching design has a sophisticated
simplicity, and we are delighted to be able to use it on our Clearly Compassionate
products.
Naturewatch will launch the new design on World Animal Day 2005 - watch this
site for details of the launch event.
