Cruelty Free household cleaning tips

Homemade cleaning quick fixes - It’s easy to make cheap and effective cleaners from white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, lemons, olive oil, Essential Oils and a little elbow grease! The Naturewatch team have been trying some super cleaning tips sent in by Tonya at Tisserand Aromatherapy. The verdict from our very own Queens of Clean is not only do Tonya’s top 10 cleaning tips clean effectively, they smell lovely too, and make household chores a breeze!! So do try these at home….

Natural disinfectant - Ideal around the home to discourage germs and everyday bacteria: Add 15 drops of Tisserand eucalyptus oil and 5 drops of peppermint oil to a bucket of hot (not boiling) water and use to clean floors, work surfaces & basins. For extra sparkle, add 4 tablespoons of white vinegar.

Ultimate trainer deodoriser - Ideal for eliminating trainer smells after workouts / exercise: Apply 3 drops of Tisserand peppermint oil and 3 drops of tea-tree oil directly to the inside of trainers and leave overnight. To super-freshen, add 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda, leave over night and discard in the morning.
