Chopping board sanitiser
Ideal for killing germs and bacteria found on food preparation areas:
After chopping food such as meat or vegetables, simply run the board under hot water and wash as normal. Then add 3 drops of Tisserand tea-tree oil and 2 drops of lemon oil to a damp cloth and wipe over.
For extra hygiene, cut a lemon in half and rub
both sides over the board. Leave to dry.
Bin freshener
Ideal to eliminate unpleasant bin odours:
Add 10 drops of Tisserand peppermint oil and 10 of lavender oil
to 200mls of hot (not boiling) water. Wipe around and inside
the bin as needed.
For added cleaning power, add a
tablespoon of salt to the solution.
Natural disinfectant
Ideal around the home to discourage germs and everyday bacteria:
Add 15 drops of Tisserand eucalyptus oil and 5 drops of peppermint oil to a bucket of hot (not boiling) water and
use to clean floors, work surfaces & basins.
For extra sparkle,
add 4 tablespoons of white vinegar.
Citrus room fragrance
Ideal to combat cooking and pet odours: Add 10 drops of Tisserand lemon oil and 5 drops of eucalyptus oil to 100mls of water and add to a plant spray bottle. Shake well before use
and spray where needed. For an added citrus burst, add the
juice of a lemon to the blend.
Ultimate trainer deodoriser
Ideal for eliminating trainer smells after workouts / exercise:
Apply 3 drops of Tisserand peppermint oil and 3 drops of tea-tree oil directly to the inside of trainers and leave overnight.
To super-freshen, add 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda, leave over night and discard in the morning.
Menthol floor cleaner
Ideal for cleansing and refreshing kitchen and bathroom floors:
Add 10 drops of Tisserand peppermint oil and 10 of eucalyptus
oil to a half a bucket of hot (not boiling) water andthen add a
small
squirt of washing up liquid. Mop in the usual way. For extra
shine,
add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the solution.
Bed linen fragrancer
Ideal to refresh linens & laundry:
Add 3 drops of Tisserand lavender oil and 3 drops of lemon oil to your fabric conditioner and place in the conditioner draw of your washing machine.
For extra bedroom ambience, place some lavender sprigs in a bowl of warm water and leave on a bedside table.
Bathroom air freshener
Ideal to replace synthetic room fragrancers:
Put 10 drops of Tisserand tea-tree oil and 10 of lavender oil into
a plant spray and add 50mls of water. Shake vigorously and spray around as required.
For added fragrance, place some
fresh rosemary sprigs in a bowl and leave on top of the loo.
