Simply gorgeous! Containing only natural ingredients (and 100% Vegan), this mascara glides on to give gorgeous natural looking longer lashes. The super thick applicator means it's easy to apply and gives excellent coverage, and it's very long wearing - keeps your peepers looking lovely all day long! It comes in Black or Walnut. It's easy to order online, plus delivery is free on UK orders - everything you could need in a mascara and more!! Caroline, Naturewatch.

Lisa Barefaced Beauty Lip Gloss

FCOD 1980

"I have been using Barefaced Beauty Natural Lip Gloss and Natural Liquid Lip Gloss and I think these are the best on the market! The colours are gorgeous, not too dark / bright. The Natural Lip Gloss is very long-wearing, not needing much of a top up during the day and lasts much longer than the liquid. Prices are very reasonablel so definitely worth a try!" Lisa.

Helen Tisserand Essential Oils

FCOD 1985

"The oils are fantastic, very aromatic and highly luxurious - a must for anyone who deserves a special treat. I particularly loved the lavender and lemon fragrances - highly recommended. Helen, Naturewatch Supporter and one of 3 lucky winners of the 'Tisserand Aromatherapy Spring Cleaning' competition, Spring 2009. Available here

Chrissy Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Cream

FCOD 1992

"I have just tried Aldi own brand day and night cream for the first time, and I think they're fabby! The day cream is very moisturising but light enough to wear under foundation etc, and the night cream is very rich and creamy, you can feel it working it's magic as soon as you apply it, lots of nourishing etc. going on! And for the price..............wait for it!! £1.89 a jar.... yeah I know.............unbelievable!! So go on girls what u waiting for...........this is certainly 'credit crunch' beauty!" Chrissy.

Verity Urtekram

FCOD 1998

"Urtekram do a lovely range of  shampoos, conditioners and moisturisers. My favourites are Rose and Nettle shampoo and moisturiser. The shampoo has no Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, only seems to have a nice, simple list of unfussy ingredients, so it doesn't make my scalp itch like most shampoos (even some of the other so-called 'natural' ones bring my head out in blisters!). You can buy Urtekram in health shops." Verity Mansfield. Click here to visit Urtekram website. Click here to purchase Urtekram in the UK.

Sue Naked Bodycare

FCOD 1997

"Just to say that I have found the NAKED range sold in Boots to be very
effective. I have in particular used the hand lotion in pump form as well
as the excellent conditioners!"

Ann Lavera Products

FCOD 1998

Lavera Orange MilkI'm another NW lover of Lavera products. My absolutely must-have favourite is the Orange Milk Volume Shampoo for fine hair, which has the most gorgeous delicate orange scent.  It's a pleasure just to open the bottle and breathe it in!  Plus it really does add volume and bounce to my pathetically fine hair.  There are other fruity shampoos for other hair types, including a nice apple one. I also love the Winter Orange Shower and Bath Gel, more delicious orange with the faintest hint of spice. I thoroughly recommend these and the make-up products I have tried, so far various lip glosses, eye liners and mascaras. I buy mine from Arkadash organic and fair trade shops in Chorlton (Manchester) and Leeds. Available here

Sally Faith in Nature products

FCOD 1988

Faith in Nature Hemp ConditionerFaith in Nature Aloe Foam Bath“Faith in Nature sell award winning cruelty-free environmentally friendly products – some organic ingredients, no SLES or parabens. Much of their packaging is recyclable. The Aloe Vera and Lavender skin care range is excellent. Bath and hair products are available in a choice of lovely, natural fragrances. The Aloe Vera Shower Gel is particularly good for sensitive skin, and the Hemp and Meadowfoam Shampoo/Conditioner are highly recommended for fine, flyaway hair. Finally, their mail order service is friendly and efficient.” Sally, Winchester Available here

Dawn Tisserand Travel Ease essential oil roll-on remedy

FCOD 1985

Tisserand Travel Ease Essential Oil Roll-On Remedy"I love the instant pick-me up of Tisserand essential oils, so I'm delighted they've just launched a new range of compact and easy to apply Remedy Rollerball and Pulse Point Perfumes, ideal for popping in your handbag or pocket for when you're on the move! I've just tried the Travel ease roll-on remedy and it's lovely, refreshing grapefruit and bergamot scent gives 'an instant lift' perfect if you're on a long haul, or if you need some 'get up and go' these cold mornings! It will definitely form part of my essential travel kit from now on! Available in Waitrose, together with a really good selection of other Tisserand products." Dawn, Ruardean Available here

Susan Little Satsuma Soaps

FCOD 1986

Little Satsuma Soaps"Hi, I'd like to recommend Little Satsuma Soaps, they are lovely and gentle on the skin, use completely natural ingredients and are reasonably priced. I especially like the chocolate and rose varieties as they smell beautiful. The soap is solid so there is minimal packaging and as the company does not use Palm oil, it means that orangutans' habitats are not being destroyed. They also donate 10p to the Orangutan Foundation for every soap sold! They also sell a 'sisal suds & soap bag' which can be used to put the soap in and use as an exfoliating treatment, and the Beatles-inspired 'Scouse soaps' would
make a humourous gift." Susan, Berkshire. Available here

Judith Purely Skin Care Shower Wash and Handmade Soap

FCOD 1986

Purely Skin Care"Purely Skin Care make a couple of lovely products - shower wash and handmade soap, both free from the dreaded sulphates and parabens, and are reasonably priced too. They are very mild and come in four wonderful "flavours": lavender, rosemary & geranium; grapefruit & lemongrass, and ginger & orange. I particularly love the shower wash and use it as a shampoo as it is so gentle." Judith.
Available here

Deborah Urtekram Rose Liquid Roll-on Deodorant, 50ml

FCOD 1998

"This organic and natural product is brilliant, it comes in a clear glass bottle so you can see exactly how much you have left. The rose is not overpowering, and it doesn't sting even after shaving! It lasts approximately six weeks, and is priced around £5.95. I believe the company also does an unscented version. It doesn't mark your clothes, and dries quickly. I bought mine in Unicorn Vegan Super Market, Chorlton, Manchester. It's also available to buy in wholefood stores nationwide."
Deborah, Manchester. Available here

Beryl Martha Hill

FCOD 1992

Martha Hill"I use Martha Hill products and I can’t recommend them too highly.  I have very sensitive skin and as I am a mature lady I use the Evening Primrose range.  I have been using Martha Hill products for many years and it is a wonderful feeling to have access to and be able to use a full range of wonderful products in the knowledge that no living thing has suffered in the process.  I am often being complimented on how my skin looks, so I am very grateful to Martha Hill and am always recommending the company." Beryl Johns. Available here

Jayne Co-op Toiletries

FCOD 1985

"I'm writing to tell people about all the great range of toiletries the Co-op stock and it's well worth a look. They have an extensive range of hair products to cover every type (and they are all good —  know cos I like to change around!!), their bath products (one for relaxing with patchouli and lavender is tops) are super and all very reasonably priced. And I use Co-op own brand soap powder, softeners etc, which are as good as the 'branded names', cheaper and of course with a fixed cut-off date implemented, which is the most important thing. It's great to be able to walk into one place and do my shop knowing it hasn't cost an animal any suffering." Jayne, Barnoldswick.

Renée M&S Florentyna Fragrances

FCOD 2006

"Since Naturewatch has endorsed M&S, together with the RSPCA, I have ventured into their toiletries section and discovered some really lovely inexpensive stuff. There's so much to choose from, and as I like 'soft pink floral' things, I really love their 'Florentyna' eau de toilette, body spray and lotions, etc. Cruelty-free perfume has always been thin on the ground, and since Meadowsweet no longer do their beautiful range, I am so happy to find some right in the high street. I must have cleansers that wash off, and M&S do a nice range. I love their 'Formula Nourishing Facial Wash' which, in the 'soft pink' style is creamy and pearly with a delicate scent." Renée, Northampton.
Available here

Jennie M&S Pressed Powder Foundation

FCOD 2006

"So thrilled that M&S is now cruelty-free and is now endorsed by Naturewatch! I bought their Pressed Powder foundation last week and it makes my face feel really soft. Love it! ... And it's only £2.50. :-)"
Jennie, Cheltenham. Available here

Michelle Neal's Yard Organic Herbal Lip Balm

FCOD 1998

"I needed to find something for cleansing my skin after Body Shop went over to the dark side. So I ordered a Neal's Yard catalogue and haven't looked back since. All their ingredients are organic and pesticide free. It's all in glass and if you send the empty bottles back to them, they'll recycle them! Even the packing is bio-degradable!!! I love their Herbal Lip Balm, which contains beeswax, as it really helps my lips keep soft in the cold weather."
Michelle, Southampton. Available here

Lisa Moom Botanical Hair Removal

FCOD 1992

"I have been using this wax for a couple of months now and it's incredible! You don't need to use as much as other waxing products, and it is very gentle on the skin. I have very sensitive skin and it leaves my legs feeling soft and not red in the slightest. Definitely one to try!"
Lisa, Bristol. Available here

Lauran Saaf Organic Skin Balancing Oil

FCOD 2004

"I've only been using Saaf organic skin balancing oil for a few weeks and already I've noticed my pores are shrinking and skin looks more healthy and supple. A little goes a long way, and I know it seems odd that an oil-based product should work on oily/combination skin but it really does! I buy it from Oakwood Health Foods and Natural Healthcare (458 Roundhay Road, Leeds), which also sells many other cruelty free goods."
Lauran, Leeds. Available here

Sarah Yaoh's Organic Hemp Seed Oil Lip Balm

FCOD 1985

"Yaoh's vegan cruelty-free lip salve range is available in 5 delicious flavours: Spearmint, Strawberries and Cream, Mango and Kiwi Fruit, Coconut and Blueberry. This was one of the first companies to produce a vegan lip balm in a stick form. Delicious!" Sarah, Doncaster. Available here

Debbie Bath Potions’ 14 Karat Face Cream

FCOD 1976

"This is an absolute dream of a cream! It glides onto your skin leaving it feeling wonderfully soft and velvety. It is readily absorbed and isn’t greasy. The smell is absolutely to die for. It is already down on my list as an absolute essential for my skincare regime. Try it for yourself – you won’t be disappointed!"
Debbie, Andoversford, Glos. Available here

Dawn Cioccolatina's Scented Whipped Shea Butter

FCOD 2002

"Incredibly moisturising and having a lovely comforting scent, this handmade 100% whipped Shea Butter, melts on your skin, leaving it noticeably improved and replenished for hours and hours. I ordered over the internet, and received first rate service - efficient and friendly. Not only is Cioccolatina cruelty free, the Shea Butter and other ingredients are supplied by farmer run co-op’s which means producers are guaranteed a fair price. This Shea Butter is Sheer Shea Butter heaven, a pleasure to use." Dawn, Ruardean. Available here

Sally Saaf’s Nurturing Body Wash

FCOD 2004

"I just love Saaf's Nurturing Body Wash as it really does do just what it says. It is great for travelling as it is so versatile, I really do take one product into the shower for hair, face and body. It doesn't dry my skin even after a fortnight in the sun. Plus the packaging is unbreakable and I know it is pure and natural and never tested on animals. In fact I am hooked on the entire Saaf range and my skin has never looked clearer!" Sally, Leeds. Available here

Jan Saaf's Hand & Nail Care

FCOD 2004

"I have been using Saaf products for the last 12 months now and I am really pleased with them. The day dream with wrinkle defence is amazing, my skin is so much improved! I also use the Hand & Nail care every night and my hands & nails are now in fantastic condition. Its great to know we can get fantastic products that are kind to the environment and are no threat to the animals!!" — Jan. Available here

Sandhya Bath Potions’ Australian Clay Masks

FCOD 1976

"I was thrilled to see the Bath Potions logo on your endorsements page - I have just recently started using their Australian clay masks - they are fabulous - my favourite is the Opal one - they are just as cleansing and natural as green clay masks that you can buy here in France (which rip your skin to shreds when they dry!). Bravo to Bath Potions - carry on the good work." Sandhya, Clermont-Ferrand, France. Available here

The Compassionate Shopper the "Who Cares?" store in Melksham, Wiltshire

"Who says shopping for cruelty free is difficult, have just found a one stop shop in Melksham, called "Who Cares". Its an ethical produce and fairtrade supermarket where you can get cruelty free toiletries and household cleaning supplies. From Faith in Nature, Pitrok, Weleda, JASON and Honesty body care, to household cleaning supplies including Clear Spring, Bio-D, Dri-Pak and Earth Friendly Products.  "There are so many delicious, healthy products and unusual gift items and cards, there is no need to walk from shop to shop and I know that I am doing some good."

Laura Lush's 'Flying Fox'

"A while ago I suffered from really bad PMT... but not anymore!!! I have always loved Lush for its anti-cruelty policy, minimal packaging and mainly natural ingerdients, so I went into my local store to stock up on soap and bath goodies. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful scent of 'Flying Fox' balm as I walked past the counter - it is mainly jasmine with a delicate hint of honey, and as soon as it hit my nostrils I knew I had to have some - especially when I noticed that it was supposed to be good for the dreaded PMT! "When it's 'that time of the month' I now just reach for my pot of 'Flying Fox'. I rub it into my pulse points and it instantly relaxes me. I also use it as a solid perfume and always get compliments about "that lovely smell"! There is also a 'Flying Fox' shower gel."
Laura, Northants. Available here

Debbie Essential Spirit's 'Tara' soap

FCOD 1985

"This was a gorgeous soap to use – I felt totally pampered by its luxurious creamy texture and the smell was heavenly – apparently the name ‘Tara’ is the Tibetan Goddess of Compassion and this soap certainly embodies that! It is 100% organic, ethically produced and totally scrumptious. It’s a definite addition to my wish list of indulgent pampering products for very special occasions." Debbie, Cheltenham. Available here

Eve Dolma's Vegan Perfumes

FCOD 1976
